Admission to grade 10 high school
Public high schools recruit students from the district, town, or city where the school is located. In some neighboring areas, if students wish, schools can recruit:
+ Nam Bung Secondary and High School recruits students from the communes of Khau Pha and Nam Co (Mu Cang Chai district).
+ Nghia Lo High School and Nguyen Trai High School recruit students from communes and towns: An Luong, Nghia Son, Son Luong, Lien Son Farm (Van Chan district).
+ Son Thinh High School recruits students from the following communes: Phinh Ho, Ta Xi Lang, Lang Nhi (Tram Tau district); Thanh Luong, Thach Luong, Nghia Lo (Nghia Lo town).

- Quota: 420 students in 12 classes, including: 02 specialized Math classes, 01 specialized Physics class, 01 specialized Chemistry class, 01 specialized Biology class, 01 specialized Information Technology class, 01 specialized Literature class, 01 specialized History class, 01 specialized Geography class, 02 specialized English classes, 01 specialized Chinese class.
- Exam registration: Each student who meets the admission requirements according to the regulations can register for no more than 02 specialized classes; candidates who do not pass the first choice will be considered for the second choice.
- Method: Exam.
+ Candidates take the Math, Literature, and English exams at public high schools and take an additional specialized subject exam corresponding to the specialized class, in the form of an essay for all specialized subjects; test time: 150 minutes.
+ For the IT specialized class, the specialized subject exam includes knowledge of Math and IT; for the Chinese specialized class, candidates can register for the specialized subject exam in English or Chinese.
- Admission principles: Only consider candidates who have taken all the required exams, have not violated the exam regulations; the specialized subject exam score corresponding to the specialized class is not less than 5.0 points; the score of each remaining exam is not less than 2.0 points. The admission score is the total score of the exams, in which: The specialized subject exam score corresponding to the specialized class is calculated by a coefficient of 3; the remaining exam scores are calculated by a coefficient of 1. Admission is in order of admission scores from high to low to meet the class's quota; in case the last candidates have the same admission score, admission is in order of priority:

- Admission method: Examination.
- Based on the assigned quota in Decision No. 2528/QD-UBND dated December 10, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee, units with high school continuing education systems develop enrollment plans to submit to the parent unit for approval and report to the Department of Education and Training; clearly stating the enrollment criteria and enrollment plan.
