Dienbien.gov.vn - On the morning of February 22, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to summarize the emulation and reward work in 2024 and the special emulation movement to achieve achievements in celebration of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), the 115th anniversary of the establishment of the province (June 28, 1909 - June 28, 2024), the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee (October 10, 1949 - October 10, 2024); deploying directions and tasks for 2025. Speaking at the opening of the conference, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do emphasized: The conference is an opportunity to objectively and comprehensively review and evaluate the results achieved in emulation and reward work in 2024; evaluate the results of organizing and implementing the Special Emulation Movement of agencies, units and localities. At the same time, commend and honor outstanding collectives and individuals in the patriotic emulation movement of the province in 2024.

In 2024, with the attention of the Party and Government, the efforts of all levels and sectors, the solidarity, consensus and determination of the entire political system and people of all ethnic groups, together with the business community in the province. Actively strive to compete to achieve achievements to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 115th anniversary of the establishment of the province and the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee. The socio-economic development plan, ensuring national defense and security in 2024 achieved many positive results with 16/26 targets reaching and exceeding the assigned plan: GRDP growth rate reached a fairly high level, expected to increase by over 10% compared to 2023; cultural and tourism activities were promoted, which was the driving force for the development of other industries and fields (the number of tourists increased by 1.85 times, total revenue increased by 1.88 times compared to 2023); The poverty rate decreased to 21.29%; 7,300 houses for poor and near-poor households were built and repaired. Administrative reform, improvement of the investment and business environment, and investment attraction continued to achieve positive results, with the administrative reform index ranked 20/63; the provincial competitiveness index ranked 31/63 provinces and cities, up 31 places; many large corporations were attracted to research and invest. The general planning of Dien Bien province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, was approved; key projects of the province and programs and projects to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu victory were accelerated, completed and put into operation.... National border sovereignty was maintained, political security, social order and safety were ensured. Foreign affairs and international cooperation continued to be strengthened and expanded.
Under the comprehensive leadership and direction of Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations from the province to the grassroots, the patriotic emulation movements launched by the Prime Minister as well as the emulation movements of the province, focusing on: The emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas"; The movement "For the poor - leaving no one behind"; The movement "Cadres, civil servants and public employees compete to implement office culture"; The movement "Promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure; practicing thrift, fighting waste"; The movement "The whole country competes to build a learning society, promoting lifelong learning in the period 2023-2030"; The movement "Competition to achieve achievements to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 115th anniversary of the province's establishment, the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee",... was widely deployed, mobilizing the participation of the entire political system, all levels, sectors, business community and people to enthusiastically compete to achieve excellent achievements in labor, production, study and work.
