Wang Pok Lo is a Hong Kong-born British math genius. At the age of 1, he knew many Chinese poems and was proficient in math at the age of 2. While studying at Towerbank Primary School, Pok completed his secondary education at the age of 8.

When asked how he felt about passing the university entrance exam, Pok said: "I was surprised because all the candidates were good. However, I think it is important to be humble about my achievements. I will always promote my strengths and minimize my weaknesses."
In addition, Pok also passed the Advanced Mathematics exam at the age of 11. Two years later, he continued to impress when he became the youngest candidate to receive a first-class certificate in Mathematics in the UK. After four years of university, at the age of 13, Pok graduated with a degree in Mathematics from the Open University (UK).
After receiving his bachelor's degree, Pok pursued a master's degree at the University of Edinburgh (UK). In December 2019, he graduated with a master's degree in Medical Statistics. With his family's support, Pok continued his doctoral studies at the University of Edinburgh. "I will make a study plan for the doctoral program. I feel excited because I will be exposed to people who are better than me," the student said.
Pok told Edinburgh News that he aims to complete his PhD in 2024. He said that after graduating with his PhD, he will continue studying Cardiology and Neurology to become a doctor in the future, to 'help the health of society in general'.
Not only is he studious and loves to research, Pok also spends time playing the piano and listening to classical music. For the male student, music is a relaxing medicine after stressful hours of studying and working.
In the eyes of teachers, Pok is a special student. Because the boy's passion for Math is a source of inspiration for teachers. "The school is proud of Pok and his achievements," said Mr. John Wood - Principal of Queensferry Community High School (Scotland, UK).
