The dream of becoming a doctor to treat people also grew over the years. Studying hard, in 2018, Thuy Nhuong passed the entrance exam to the Military Medical Academy with a score in the top of the 52nd course training military medical doctors.
“My experiences in the hospital since childhood have helped me understand this job better. I want to contribute to helping people have good health, and also consider it as a way to repay the doctors who have helped me. There are many schools that train in medicine, but I chose to apply to the Military School because I like the discipline that is typical of the Army. Partly because I don’t have to pay tuition fees to reduce the financial burden on my parents,” the valedictorian confided.
Thanks to clearly defining her goals, during nearly 7 years of studying at the Military Medical Academy, Thuy Nhuong always researched and built appropriate learning methods for subjects, especially difficult subjects, right from the first days of being a soldier.
Having participated in supporting the prevention and control of Covid-19 in Cu Chi district (HCMC), having the opportunity to get closer to the patients, Thuy Nhuong understands more about the difficulties of patients in danger.

With difficult subjects, especially when exposed to clinical subjects, many students will be afraid and reluctant to approach them, but I consider it an opportunity to challenge and hone myself.
“My modest achievements are thanks to the enthusiastic guidance and professional training of my teachers, along with the attention, support and facilitation of all aspects from leaders and commanders at all levels and the unit as a whole. The military environment has helped me become a more disciplined and scientific person. After graduation, I hope to continue studying, improve my professional knowledge and contribute to the military and the country,” said Sergeant Nguyen Thuy Nhuong.
