"Thorny Brother" sets Guinness record, People's Artist Tu Long explains the reason for wearing old clothes

On the evening of March 22, the concert " Anh trai vu ngan cong gai" (The Brother Who Overcame Thousands of Difficulties) was held in Thu Duc City (HCMC), attracting the participation of about 40,000 spectators. This is the third concert of the series of concerts that started in October 2024, and is also the first time the concert has gathered all 33 "talents".

During the 4-hour concert, the "talents" treated the audience to a series of favorite performances from the program. Opening with the song "Fire Song", the artists thanked the audience for filling the stands every night, always giving their all and supporting the concert from North to South.

People's Artist Tu Long shared: "Thank you everyone for coming and staying because you love us. The criteria of this concert is to break the roof, fly high, and shake the sky and earth."

Actor Tien Luat said that last year, when they filmed the show, they only had a few hundred spectators cheering them on in the studio. Now, the "talents" have been welcomed by tens of thousands of fans, taking them from the small studio to the big stage. "Our dream has come true. The enthusiasm of the fans present at the concert is a great source of motivation for the artists," Tien Luat said.

The highlight of the concert Anh trai vu ngan cong gai is the honoring of traditional cultural values. Songs such as Mua tren pho Hue, Me yeu con, Dao lieu, Thuan nuoc doan thuyen... received the support of fans thanks to the elaborate stage set, the touching message of spreading national culture and impressive live singing performances.

In particular, the performance of Trong Com by People's Artist Tu Long, SOOBIN, and Cuong Seven made the audience explode with a new, more vibrant and powerful arrangement, but still did not lose the identity of Bac Ninh folk songs in the original version.

During the music night, a representative of the Guinness World Records Organization also announced that the program had set a Guinness World Record for "The event with the largest number of participants wearing traditional Vietnamese costumes" with more than 5,000 spectators.

MC Anh Tuan invited the audience to wear traditional Vietnamese costumes and join the artists on stage in the performance One Round of Vietnam to celebrate the program's new record.

Before that, from early morning, thousands of spectators wearing traditional national costumes, modernized ao dai... participated in photo taking and exchange activities.

Record statistics are determined according to criteria such as: Audiences line up through face-scanning cameras, audiences must gather in areas designated by the organizers, and not change clothes during the time waiting for the referee to announce the results...

Some games and interactive sessions interspersed throughout the program brought a humorous atmosphere to the concert.

During the "blind tearing" scene, an audience member asked People's Artist Tu Long why he didn't wear new clothes like his other "brothers". In response, the artist jokingly said: "I like to keep my original identity, I still sing the same way I did when I first started. The other guys intentionally dress flashy. Old clothes that have value are still much better."

Many older "talents" enthusiastically performed the choreography, receiving cheers from fans. Meanwhile, young singers like SOOBIN, Kay Tran... continuously made the audience scream with their seductive dances, taking off their shirts to show off their muscles.

Fans commented that the third concert of Anh trai vu ngan cong gai was attractive, with quality from the sound and lighting arrangements to the musical performances. Compared to the second concert in Hung Yen in December 2024, this time the program fixed most of the errors in sound and filming.

However, at some points, the program also had "errors" such as the content displayed on the big screen did not match the artist's singing. The audience suggested that the organizers should arrange the entrance to the check-in areas and the entrance to the stands more reasonably.

At the end of the show, the artists thanked the thousands of spectators who came to see the concert and stayed until the very end. Many "talents" hugged each other, tearfully waving to their fans.

SOOBIN shared: "Holding the audience's hands, seeing many uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters, standing in sync with the young people even though the program lasted until late at night, that moment I almost cried. I love the program, love the cheers of everyone.

I don't think there will be a show that makes different generations stand together to enjoy the musical atmosphere. Thanks for coming, see you tomorrow."

The concert "Anh trai vu ngan cong gai" was held after the success of the reality TV show of the same name, for 33 male faces from 30 years old, working in showbiz.

Late last year, the first two concerts of the program were held in Ho Chi Minh City and Hung Yen, causing a stir among the audience. Returning after 3 months, concerts 3 and 4 of Anh trai vu ngan cong gai took place in Thu Duc City (Ho Chi Minh City) on March 22 and 23.
