Mo Duc - Forever the song of victory

(Baoquangngai.vn) - The District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Mo Duc district solemnly held the Ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Mo Duc district (March 23, 1975 - March 23, 2025) and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Mo Duc District Armed Forces (May 1, 1945 - May 1, 2025) with the theme "Forever the song of victory".

The celebration was held on the evening of March 22, at An Phu residential area square, Mo Duc town.

Attending the ceremony were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dinh Thi Hong Minh; Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Cao Phuc; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee Lu Ngoc Binh; Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee Vo Van Quynh; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee Luong Kim Son; Commander of the Provincial Military Command Tran The Phan; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien; Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Huynh Thi Anh Suong; Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Ba Minh.

Also attending the ceremony were comrade Nguyen Dong Suong, former Deputy Head of the Central Party Organization Committee; Major General Vo Van Hung, Political Commissar of Military Region 5; leaders of departments, branches and localities; Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, veteran revolutionary cadres and leaders of Mo Duc district through the periods; Working delegation of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nam Dan district (Nghe An); Association of fellow countrymen of Quang Ngai province and Mo Duc district in provinces and cities and a large number of people in Mo Duc district.

Provincial leaders and delegates observed a minute of silence to pay tribute and remember those who sacrificed for the cause of national independence and freedom.

At the ceremony, Chairman of Mo Duc District People's Committee Pham Ngoc Lan read a speech reviewing the heroic history of the Party Committee, government and people of Mo Duc district, the continuous growth and maturity of the Mo Duc district armed forces through the revolutionary struggles; especially the historic victory on March 23, 1975, marking the complete liberation of Mo Duc homeland, this is a brilliant milestone in the glorious history of the Party Committee, government and people of Mo Duc during the revolutionary struggles.

Mo Duc District Armed Forces were established on May 1, 1945. After 80 years of construction, fighting and growth, under the leadership of the Party Committee, the government, and the support and assistance of the people, Mo Duc District Armed Forces have continuously grown, closely associated with the movement to fight for national reunification and the construction and development of the homeland.

After liberation, Mo Duc was a poor district, with a very low starting point and was heavily damaged. In each stage of development, the district Party Committee in each term closely followed the province's policies and the local situation, proposed many policies and tasks; focused on directing the entire political system to resolutely implement them.

Up to now, the average annual growth rate of production value of Mo Duc district is over 10%; the economic structure has shifted, gradually increasing the proportion of industry, trade and services, gradually decreasing the proportion of agriculture. By the end of 2024, industry, trade and services in Mo Duc district will account for 76%, agriculture will account for 24%. Average income per capita is 56 million VND/person/year.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dinh Thi Hong Minh emphasized that Mo Duc is a land rich in patriotic and revolutionary traditions. Over many successive generations, the armed forces and people of Mo Duc have continuously participated in movements to fight for and protect the nation's independence, sovereignty and freedom.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dinh Thi Hong Minh acknowledged and commended the achievements of the Party Committee and people of Mo Duc district over the past 50 years and the achievements of the Mo Duc district armed forces over the past 80 years. These achievements have contributed significantly to the overall achievements of the province.

Comrade Dinh Thi Hong Minh believes that the Party Committee, government, army and people of Mo Duc district will continue to promote the heroic revolutionary tradition, the strength of the great national unity bloc, love for the homeland, pride, self-reliance, and determination to build Mo Duc homeland in particular and Quang Ngai province in general to firmly step into the era of national development.

To express gratitude to the generations of fathers and brothers who fought and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation, at the ceremony, the leaders of Mo Duc district presented gifts to the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, and outstanding veterans in the district.

At the ceremony, delegates, guests and people enjoyed the art program "Echoing the Victory Song". The program has 3 parts, including: Respecting the past, being proud of the present and aspiring for the future with many unique and impressive performances by artists, actors, veterans, members of the Women's Union of Mo Duc district, union members and students.

The song “Unforgettable Song” by musician Pham Minh Tuan performed by singer Cam Van, along with the dance performance of the dance troupe, brought the audience back to the heroic years of the Vietnamese revolution, including the soldiers and people of the heroic homeland of Quang Ngai - Mo Duc.

Many people and veterans attended the celebration and enjoyed the special art program.

The art program was elaborately staged with many unique performances, thereby affirming the pride in the past and the aspiration to reach the future of the heroic homeland of Mo Duc.

The art program "Forever the song of victory" is an epic expressing the will and aspiration of the army and people of Mo Duc yesterday, today and tomorrow.
