Meeting of the Organizing Committee of the Contest for composing and promoting literary, artistic and journalistic works on the theme of studying Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton

- On the morning of March 20, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department held a meeting of the Organizing Committee of the Contest for composing and promoting literary, artistic and journalistic works on the theme "Studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton" for the period 2024 - 2025 in An Giang province.

Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of An Giang Province Tran Thi Thanh Huong (Head of the Contest Organizing Committee) chaired.

According to preliminary statistics, after the contest period ended (March 15, 2025), there were nearly 1,200 entries in all genres, from many professional and non-professional authors, inside and outside the province; the topics were rich, reflecting the diversity of the contest themes. Many localities had a very high number of entries (Phu Tan district, Long Xuyen city), demonstrating the interest of many cadres, civil servants, public employees, and journalists in the whole province.

Delegates attending the meeting informed about the status of receiving and classifying works; reviewed the tasks of each member and unit; proposed to the jury; contributed to the draft plan, agreed on the preparation timeline for the contest's closing ceremony and award ceremony. It is expected that the selection work will be completed by mid-April; all preparations (award ceremony script, invitations, program rehearsal, publication of a collection of excellent works, etc.) will be completed by mid-May. The closing ceremony and award ceremony will be held on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), and 100 years of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).

Comrade Tran Thi Thanh Huong suggested that members of the Organizing Committee and the Secretariat of the contest enhance their sense of responsibility, proactively complete their tasks according to the set schedule; research ways to organize the closing ceremony and award ceremony in an innovative and impressive way, creating a strong spread of the contest spirit to a large number of journalists, artists, cadres, party members, and people.
