| According to recorded documents, in 1889, the French did not believe that the Nha Trinh dam was just stacked rocks, so they moved the dam about 50m upstream. But after just one year, the seemingly solid concrete dam was left with only its skeleton after a flood season. After that, the French repaired the canal system, laid concrete, and reinforced it many times, but the foundation of the dam from the 12th century to the present is still intact. |
