Long Xuyen City hands over houses under the program "Eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses"

- On the morning of March 20, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of My Phuoc Ward, Long Xuyen City organized a house handover ceremony under the program "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" and started building solidarity houses for near-poor households and households in difficult circumstances in the ward.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council Vo Thien Hao; Chairman of the City Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thanh Quang also attended. On this occasion, leaders of the city and My Phuoc ward presented many practical and meaningful gifts to the family.

The house under the program "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" was handed over to the near-poor household of Mr. Ngo Van Oanh (born in 1958, residing in Dong Thinh 8). The house has an area of ^32m2 , a level 4 structure, walls, tiled floor, corrugated iron roof... The total value is 92.5 million VND (of which, the Branch of the National Housing Organization Company in An Giang supported 60 million VND; Party members, cadres, civil servants, and public employees of the ward supported 10 million VND; An Giang Lottery One Member Co., Ltd. supported 10 million VND; Ms. Le Lam Thanh residing in the same hamlet supported 8.5 million VND). Mr. Oanh's family has 3 members, including a mentally ill child.

The Great Solidarity House was started for Mrs. Truong Thi Hue's family (born in 1989, residing in Group 58, Dong Thinh 4 Hamlet). Mrs. Hue's family is one of the local poor families. The house has an area of over ^27m2 , a level 4 structure, with a total estimated construction cost of about 70 million VND (of which Thuan Phat An Giang Trading and Service Joint Stock Company and Mrs. Tran Thi Huynh Huong, a member of Dong Thinh 4 Party Cell mobilized and supported). The completion time for use is 30 days after the start of construction.
