On the eve of the Lunar New Year 2024, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan visited the Central Maternity Hospital to visit and encourage doctors and nurses.
Also joining the delegation were Ms. Angela Pratt - Chief Representative of the World Health Organization in Vietnam and representatives of leaders of departments, offices and offices of the Ministry of Health.
Speaking at the New Year's greetings to the doctors and nurses, Minister Dao Hong Lan expressed her joy at being present at the hospital on New Year's Eve. Along with the doctors of the Central Maternity Hospital, on New Year's Eve, there were many medical staff working across the entire medical system, taking care of the people's health.

According to Minister Dao Hong Lan: "Spring is the season of growth, on New Year's Eve, we come to the Central Maternity Hospital to welcome the newborn babies, which symbolizes development. This will be the next generation - the citizens who continue the total number of more than 100 million people in our country. I wish all the babies born in all regions of the country to "eat well and grow quickly" and have many developments in the future".
The Minister sent his best wishes to all children born across the country to "eat well, grow quickly" and have many successes in the future.
Minister Dao Hong Lan also expressed that the World Health Organization is an organization that always accompanies and supports the Vietnamese Government and the Ministry of Health.
"We wish Ms. Angela Pratt and the World Health Organization a successful new year, good luck and happiness," said Minister Dao Hong Lan.
Minister Dao Hong Lan sent New Year greetings to all medical staff across the country.
Speaking at the meeting, Director of the Central Maternity Hospital Nguyen Duy Anh said that on New Year's Eve, 180 medical staff were on duty to take care of the health of 250 patients.
"The Central Maternity Hospital is a leading hospital, the last line of care for the health of mothers and children in many aspects. On the first day of the new year, the Minister of Health and the Chief Representative of the World Health Organization paid attention to the hospital, to the doctors and nurses, and to the patients. We are very touched by this attention," said Mr. Duy Anh.
Minister Dao Hong Lan gave gifts and New Year wishes to doctors and nurses at the Central Maternity Hospital on New Year's Eve.
Minister Dao Hong Lan visited many delivery rooms and waiting rooms of the Obstetrics Department to give gifts and lucky money to doctors and nurses on duty during Tet, and to mothers who have given birth and are waiting to give birth.
At the delivery room, Minister Dao Hong Lan congratulated the mother and her family on welcoming a "safe mother and healthy baby" .
