On the occasion of launching a new project in Ho Chi Minh City, People's Artist Thanh Lam shared about her personal life and the simple happiness of the "singing woman" with her partner - doctor Bui Tien Hung.

Being a doctor, Thanh Lam's husband is unfamiliar with showbiz. Because of his wife, Dr. Hung gradually adapted and quickly integrated into her lifestyle.

Thanh Lam jokingly said that her husband is now even more "artistic" than her, likes to meet people and takes the initiative to hold the microphone and sing at parties.

“One day, he teased me: ' Everyone says you've become a lot nicer since you met me .' No one thought a doctor could be so playful and humorous,” she boasted.

Thanks to her marriage to a doctor husband, Thanh Lam is more positive, energetic and "corrects" herself.

A meticulous, principled doctor and a free-spirited artist, how do they reconcile their two personalities in one family, especially when they have gone through so many ups and downs and broken relationships? Thanh Lam said that the two of them are not too stressed or thinking about how to create a perfect home in everyone's eyes.

For them, simplicity is a top priority. During the day, each person has a space to work outside. When they get home, they gather to cook rice, drink tea, and enjoy private silence.

Thanh Lam went to perform, if her husband had free time, he would accompany his wife, waiting for her to sing backstage. One day, when Doctor Hung was busy examining patients, the female singer took the time to cook and bring food to visit him.

“We have gone through the difficult period, we understand and appreciate each other. Love at this stage is very enjoyable because we understand the value of life, know how to be satisfied with small things, and feel relaxed. This is also the stage where I correct many of my mistakes in life,” Thanh Lam said.

Thanh Lam feels peaceful and fulfilled with her husband. The wedding ceremony is not important to both of them.

Thanh Lam and her husband got engaged in mid-2021 but have not yet held a wedding ceremony. The singer believes that marriage is just a formality, the important thing is living together every day.

“We only had a mock wedding through the MV, and we don’t know when the real wedding will be. Hung and I didn’t prepare anything, we just let things happen naturally, and when the time is right, it will happen,” she confided.

While nurturing her love, Thanh Lam does not forget her responsibility to her children. She considers her three children a part of her happiness, and feels secure because her two daughters are married, and her youngest son - Nguyen Dang Quang is currently a promising face in the country's piano industry.

Diva said her children love Dr. Hung very much because they clearly see the positive changes in their mother when she is with her partner, from happiness in life to a burning passion in music.

Of course, all praise and criticism will have some impact and influence. I am a strict, hard-working and creative person, so I really believe that one day everyone will understand that feeling," Thanh Lam shared.

At the age of nearly 60, the singer is still full of passion, fire and ready to innovate. There have been successes and failures, but in the end, for her, it was a worthy choice.

“Abandoning greed, anger, and delusion requires a long-term practice. I have been practicing to correct my own shortcomings,” Thanh Lam expressed.
