The district has focused on implementing tasks and solutions to continue restructuring the agricultural sector associated with building new rural areas towards quality, value, synchronization, efficiency and sustainability; prioritizing the development of high-tech application projects and sustainable agricultural production.
Building brands, trademarks, and certifying the quality of agricultural products to increase the value and stable output of products; creating favorable conditions for enterprises to invest in joint ventures and associate with cooperatives and cooperatives to implement value chain linkage projects for the district's key products.
Up to now, the whole district has newly planted 152.5 hectares of mulberry, raising the total mulberry area of the whole district to 1,002.5 hectares, silkworm cocoon output of 1,202 tons; newly planted 55.8 hectares of tea, raising the total existing tea area to 650 hectares, fresh tea bud output reaching 4,550 tons; newly planted 54.5 hectares of fruit trees, raising the total fruit tree area to 1,356.3 hectares, fruit output reaching 7,746.3 tons; newly planted 56.9 hectares of medicinal plants, raising the total medicinal plant area of the whole district to 214.9 hectares; newly planted 410 hectares of Bat Do bamboo, raising the total Bat Do bamboo area of the whole district to 4,616.6 hectares, commercial bamboo shoot output reaching 33,500 tons...
Along with that, the district has focused on directing the effective implementation of policies to support the development of agricultural, forestry and fishery production in accordance with the resolutions of the Provincial People's Council. In 2024, 59 households participated in the implementation of policies to support livestock development towards the production of specialty products and implemented 14 projects linking production according to the value chain with a total cost of over 7,941 million VND. Developed 11 new OCOP products; increased the total number of OCOP products in the district to 50 products; all OCOP products were put on the e-commerce platform. Thereby, contributing to increasing product value and income for local people.
