Dr. Nguyen Thai Huyen said that she has a special relationship with the French language and France. After graduating from the Hanoi University of Architecture, she continued her studies for a Master's degree in Urban Design at the Bordeaux National University of Architecture and Landscape, then a PhD in Urban Planning and Spatial Planning at the Bordeaux Montaigne University (France). Thanks to that, Dr. Huyen's love for French culture, people and architecture was reinforced.
After returning, she participated in laying the foundation, building and promoting the development of the French-language Landscape Architecture program at the Hanoi University of Architecture. This is also the first place to grant Landscape Architecture degrees in the country.
She then continued to develop a joint training program for PhDs in Architecture, Planning and Landscape with France. Currently, she is the Deputy Director of the Institute of Training and International Cooperation, in charge of the French undergraduate, master and doctoral training system in Architecture.
Thanks to these contributions, in 2017, she received the GADIF award - an award voted by Embassies, Delegations and Francophone agencies in Hanoi to honor outstanding individuals who have made important contributions to promoting the development of the French language in Vietnam.
With the recognition from the French government, Dr. Nguyen Thai Huyen said that this is the motivation for her to continue promoting and developing cooperation in training and scientific research in the fields of French-speaking architecture, planning and landscape.
The Rector of Hanoi Medical University received the French Academic Palm Medal. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Tu is recognized for his many contributions to the development of Francophone cooperation in Vietnam, especially French-Vietnamese medical training cooperation.
