The Cau Treo International Border Guard Station in coordination with the Drug and Crime Prevention Department of the Provincial Border Guard has just successfully fought a major drug case coded HT1122.
Accordingly, after a period of reconnaissance, meticulous planning, and close monitoring of all movements of the subject, at 5:40 a.m. on May 10, at Nuoc Sot bridge in Ha Trai village, Son Kim 1 commune (Huong Son), the investigation force arrested Hoang Van Hoa (born in 1975, residing in Lang Son province) in the act while carrying 2 kg of crystal meth, 2 heroin cakes, 200 pink pills and other evidence.
Cau Treo Border Guard took Hoang Van Hoa's statement when he was carrying a lot of drugs across the border.
Captain Dang Van Phuong - Head of the Reconnaissance Team, Cau Treo International Border Post said: "Currently, the drug crime situation continues to be complicated, with sophisticated tricks, reckless actions, and "hot" weapons. They contact each other on the phone or social networks to trade drugs right on the trails in the deep forest, making it very difficult to detect, fight, and arrest."
Faced with that situation, the Cau Treo International Border Guard Station has focused on synchronously deploying professional measures to combat and prevent, especially grasping the situation on the border, strengthening patrols and controlling the area, border lines, managing the border gate, monitoring suspicious subjects, closely coordinating with other functional forces at home and abroad. Thereby, since the beginning of the year, the Cau Treo Border Guard has broken up 4 cases/2 subjects, seized 2 kg of crystal meth, 2 kg of ketamine, 1,240 pink pills, 4 heroin cakes...
Huong Quang Border Guard ambushes key positions to fight and prevent drug crimes.
Currently, drug crimes, especially large drug lines from Laos to Vietnam, are operating sophisticatedly and recklessly on the two border lines in Ha Tinh. In particular, there are many areas that are always at high risk of drug smuggling across the border, focusing on the border of Huong Son district (managed by Cau Treo International Border Guard Station and Son Hong Border Guard Station), and the border line of Vu Quang district (managed by Huong Quang Border Guard Station).
With relentless efforts and the spirit of fighting drug crimes to the end, from the beginning of 2020 until now, Ha Tinh Border Guard has successfully fought 73 projects and cases. All "catching" cases carried out by the Border Guard were absolutely safe in terms of people, equipment and weapons. Thereby, 108 subjects were arrested, 65 heroin cakes, 276g of heroin, 336 kg of crystal meth, 62 kg of ketamine, 489,419 synthetic drug pills, 11 packages of American grass, 16.3 kg of dried marijuana...
Since the beginning of 2023, Ha Tinh Border Guard has presided over and coordinated the detection, arrest, and handling of 21 cases/35 subjects, seizing 25 kg of crystal meth, 17 kg of ketamine, 6,846 pink pills, 6 heroin cakes, and many other exhibits.
Son Hong Border Guard Station's reconnaissance force patrols trails and openings to prevent drugs from flowing across the border.
