Unfortunately, Mrs. Ly Thi Bong, Emma's biological mother, could not wait for her daughter to return home, as she passed away 2 years ago due to a serious illness. That was also one of the biggest regrets on the return day of the beautiful French girl.

The day the DNA test results came out, the French girl and her entire Vietnamese family were overwhelmed with happiness. Because from now on, they were truly reunited after nearly 3 long decades.

During the special reunion days in March, Emma returned to the rented house of her father and brothers in Thu Duc City (HCMC), which is also a car repair shop owned by Mr. Tran Phi Hung (58 years old) and his three sons. Going up to the first floor, where the altar of her mother is located, the French girl respectfully offered incense to express her respect, also to express her feelings.
"I was really shocked and a little disappointed when my mother was no longer in this world, she could not wait for me. If I had found my family sooner, I would have been able to hold my mother in my arms. But it's okay, now I have a father, an older brother, a younger brother, wonderful people who give me the feeling of living in a warm and happy family. That feeling is hard to describe in words," Emma shared.
What matters to Emma is that she has found the answers to all the questions about her roots that she has been carrying around in her heart for years. This has a special meaning in her life because it is difficult to live without knowing your roots and origins.

Mr. Ly Minh Hien (31 years old), Emma's biological brother, said that when his sister was given away by her mother, he was too young to fully understand the story. Even when he grew up, he still could not understand.
"Suddenly, the family has a very special sister. I don't know how to describe that feeling. When she returned home, my father became happier and more joyful, the whole family was always filled with laughter and happiness. Relatives everywhere also asked and congratulated me," he added.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ly Minh Hau (26 years old), Emma's younger brother, was also very surprised to know that he had an older sister. He said that in the past few days, his family took her to Long An to visit the paternal ancestors' grave and was welcomed by relatives.

In her paternal home, the French girl met her family members and lived in the loving arms of a large family, which made her extremely touched and happy. This was a return to Vietnam that Emma could never forget in her life.
"People in the countryside don't know that my wife and I had a daughter, because when my wife was pregnant she didn't go back to the countryside, and no one knew. Now that the child has come back, everyone is surprised, and even thinks it's my illegitimate child. When we go back to the countryside, everyone asks about it," Mr. Hung next to us laughed, recounting to us.
From now on in Vietnam, Emma has a home to return to.
In the reunion of Emma and her family, there was the appearance of Ms. Thu Huong (49 years old, living in Ho Chi Minh City), who, with the help of Mr. Huynh Tan Sinh, currently living in France, helped the French girl make this miraculous reunion.
Witnessing the family's happiness, Mrs. Huong could not contain her emotions and happiness. The woman confided that Emma's joy of reunion was a gift, a motivation to continue this special journey with the hope that one day she would find her daughter who was adopted by the French, just like Emma.

Mr. Hung, Emma's biological father, said that finally, in this moment of reunion, he was able to release the pain that had been in his heart for nearly 30 years. Now, all he has left is joy and happiness because he has 3 filial children.
From here, in Vietnam, Emma has a happy home with her blood relatives always waiting for her to return. This return of the beautiful French girl will last more than 20 days. Emma plans to spend more time with her family.
