Kinhtedothi - The People's Council of Binh Duong province has just passed a Resolution regulating preferential land rent exemption for projects using land for production and business purposes in investment incentive sectors.
This Resolution stipulates the preferential regime of land rent exemption for projects using land for production and business purposes in the investment incentive sectors (investment incentive sectors and occupations) in Binh Duong province as prescribed in Point a, Clause 1, Article 157 of the Land Law, meeting one of the following two conditions: the project is on the list of types, scale criteria, and socialization standards decided by the Prime Minister; non-profit project.
Accordingly, after the land rent exemption period expires during the basic construction phase, these projects will continue to be exempted from land rent according to the provisions of Clause 2, Article 39 of Decree No. 103/2024/ND-CP of the Government.
Specifically, the northern districts of Dau Tieng, Bau Bang, Phu Giao and Bac Tan Uyen are exempted from land rent for the entire land lease term. The southern area of Thu Dau Mot, Thuan An, Di An, Ben Cat and Tan Uyen are exempted from land rent for the entire land lease term for projects of general schools with many levels of education in cooperation with foreign education; environmental projects (except crematoriums and electro-crematoriums).
Exemption of land rent for 50% of the land lease term for the remaining projects within the scope of application and cremation and electro-cremation facilities in the environmental sector.
The Resolution does not apply to the following industries and occupations: centralized collection, treatment, recycling, and reuse of waste; hazardous waste treatment, co-treatment of hazardous waste; centralized treatment of domestic wastewater with a design capacity of 2,500 m3/day (24 hours) or more for urban areas of type IV or higher; centralized collection, transportation, and treatment of ordinary solid waste; production of gasoline, diesel fuel, and certified biofuels; biochar; energy from the use of wind power, sunlight, tides, geothermal energy, and other forms of renewable energy.
This is good news for investors in industries that are receiving incentives in Binh Duong, thereby contributing to realizing the province's goal of double-digit economic growth in 2025 and the following years.
