Kinhtedothi - After the district-level police were dissolved, most of the district-level police leaders in Nam Dinh were transferred to become department-level leaders of the provincial police.

On March 1, Nam Dinh Provincial Police held a ceremony to announce decisions on organizational structure and personnel arrangement and assignment according to Project 25-DA/DUCA dated January 11, 2025 of the Central Public Security Party Committee on "Continuing to arrange and streamline the organization of the local Public Security apparatus to operate effectively and efficiently, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new period".

Attending the ceremony were Nam Dinh Provincial Party Secretary Dang Khanh Toan and leaders of the Provincial People's Committee.

According to the announced decisions, from March 1, the Minister of Public Security decided to dissolve 9 district-level police units and affiliated organizations in Nam Dinh province, including Nam Dinh City Police, Police of Hai Hau, Giao Thuy, Truc Ninh, Nam Truc, Vu Ban, Y Yen, Xuan Truong, Nghia Hung districts,

Also according to the decision of the Minister of Public Security, the organization and apparatus of Nam Dinh Provincial Police after the arrangement has 27 affiliated professional units.

On this occasion, the Director of Nam Dinh Provincial Police also issued a decision to transfer 64 officers to work as heads and deputy heads of department-level units under the Provincial Police, and heads of commune-level police.

Of which, 8 officers who were previously the chiefs of Nam Dinh City Police, Nghia Hung District Police, Hai Hau District Police, Giao Thuy District Police, Truc Ninh District Police, Nam Truc District Police, Vu Ban District Police were transferred to lead the department-level units of the Provincial Police (the Chief of Y Yen District Police had previously retired early according to his wishes).

Officers who were previously deputy chiefs of the police of 9 districts and cities in the province were also transferred to lead the department-level units of the provincial police, most of them holding the position of deputy chief, a few were transferred to work as commune-level police chiefs in some communes and towns in the province. The remaining officers and soldiers who previously worked at the district-level police were mostly transferred to work at the commune-level police in the province. Many leaders of departments under the provincial police were also transferred by the provincial police director to take on new positions at the department-level units of the provincial police.

At the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Huu Manh, Director of Nam Dinh Provincial Police, said: from 0:00 on March 1, Nam Dinh Provincial Police have simultaneously deployed to carry out tasks under the new organizational structure, when there is no longer a district-level police force.
