Yen Bai - By 2025, Yen Bai province strives to establish 80 or more new cooperatives, encourage cooperatives to build new cooperative models associated with key commodity value chains, build green economic models, circular economic models; strive to establish 300 or more new cooperative groups, encourage qualified cooperatives to develop into cooperatives.
To achieve the set goals, Yen Bai province continues to encourage and create conditions to promote the collective economy to develop in quantity and ensure quality; support the development of effective cooperative models, becoming model cooperatives to replicate and attract people, organizations and businesses to participate or associate with cooperatives.
For the Provincial Cooperative Union, pay attention to doing a good job of mobilizing, consulting, and supporting the establishment of new cooperatives and cooperative groups; develop specific plans for establishing new cooperatives for departments, offices, and affiliated units; closely coordinate with departments, branches, unions, and localities to grasp the needs to deploy propaganda, mobilization, and consulting on the process and procedures for establishing new cooperatives.
Continue to promptly implement support mechanisms and policies of the Central and the province; disburse capital sources to support members; organize training, coaching, and improve the quality of the cooperative management team. At the same time, encourage cooperatives and cooperative groups to take advantage of social networks and e-commerce platforms to promote, introduce, and sell products.
It is known that in 2024, the Yen Bai Provincial Cooperative Union coordinated to propagate and mobilize the establishment of 113 new cooperatives, reaching 141.2% of the plan assigned by the province. Of which, Tran Yen district established 17 new cooperatives; Van Chan established 9 new cooperatives; Mu Cang Chai established 11 new cooperatives; Luc Yen established 10 new cooperatives; Van Yen established 32 new cooperatives; Yen Binh established 12 new cooperatives; Tram Tau established 6 new cooperatives; Nghia Lo town established 7 new cooperatives and Yen Bai city established 9 new cooperatives.
By the end of 2024, the province will have 829 cooperatives with a total of 33,810 members, operating in a variety of industries and fields such as agriculture, industry - handicrafts, transportation, trade and services, construction and 16 people's credit funds. Of which, the largest number are cooperatives operating in the fields of agriculture, forestry and fishery, accounting for nearly 55.9%. The total charter capital of cooperatives will reach VND 2,102 billion, an increase of 19.6% compared to 2023; the average revenue of cooperatives will reach VND 2.2 billion; the average profit of cooperatives will reach VND 470 million; the average income of workers in cooperatives will reach VND 63.6 million/year. Regarding cooperatives, the province currently has 5,748 cooperatives with over 28,700 members, with an average revenue of VND 385 million.
