On August 10, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to evaluate the implementation of tasks in the first 7 months of the year, identify key tasks for August 2023; evaluate the mid-term implementation results of the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025. Comrade Pham Dinh Nghi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the conference. In the first 7 months of the year, the province's socio-economic situation continued to be stable and developed. Some economic indicators had a fairly high growth rate compared to the same period, such as: Industrial production index increased by 13.48%; total retail sales of goods and services increased by 13.8%; total mobilized capital of credit institutions in the area is estimated to increase by 11.7% compared to the beginning of the year... Agricultural production was actively deployed, and the planting of winter-spring rice was completed within the best time frame. The work of building new rural areas (NTM) continued to receive strong attention and direction; up to now, the whole province has had 189/204 communes and towns meeting advanced NTM standards, reaching 92.6% and 18/188 communes meeting model NTM standards, reaching 9.6%. The planning of Nam Dinh province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, has been actively implemented and has been approved by the Provincial Planning Assessment Council. The Education and Training sector continues to maintain high achievements in the 2023 high school graduation exam. National defense, political security, and social order and safety are maintained; the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directly dialogued with households on the work of clearing the Con Xanh area to serve the implementation of key socio-economic development projects.

Concluding the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Dinh Nghi requested: the draft Report on the mid-term implementation results of the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025, needs to objectively assess and ensure complete and accurate data according to the targets set by the Congress. Focus on highlighting the results of the implementation of the targets: Investment attraction, total investment capital implementation; actual income; economic structure... Regarding solutions for the following years, the draft Report must identify that localities actively have new solutions so that by the end of the Congress term, at least 1 district in the province meets the model NTM standards; achieve export targets. Focus on assessing the results achieved in the past half term, which have laid the foundation for achieving the goal of becoming a fairly developed province in the country by 2030; specifically, creating a solid foundation for the infrastructure system, especially transport infrastructure; has attracted large corporations and enterprises to invest in key projects such as Xuan Thien and Quanta. Regarding the tasks, the draft report must set the goal of completing the construction of the new rural area; completing the construction of key projects and investment attraction targets; merging districts and communes; attracting investment in wind power and solar power in coastal districts.
Regarding the socio-economic development tasks in August and the last months of 2023, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments and branches to: Urgently complete the final tasks of the planning of Nam Dinh province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. The agricultural sector focuses on implementing natural disaster prevention and control and building new rural areas. Focus on site clearance, especially highway projects; handle issues related to site clearance; strengthen management and handling of violations related to land, especially implementing inspection and examination conclusions. Sectors and localities promote investment in key projects to serve the socio-economic development of the province; strengthen supervision and management of public investment. Actively complete budget revenue targets; pay attention to public asset management. Effectively implement cultural, social, health and educational activities; Pay attention to rectifying the work of extra teaching and learning. Promote administrative reform, digital transformation; organize well the first National Forum on Digital Economy held in Nam Dinh.
