The Korean Herarld reported that Nam Tae Hyun recently appeared at the National Assembly audit of the Korean Health and Welfare Committee as a witness.

“I used to take psychiatric medication for depression. At one point, when I felt like I had hit rock bottom, I turned to marijuana, and eventually to crystal meth,” he recalled, saying he deserved to be punished. However, he is still “struggling to live like a human being, even a little bit.”
Currently, Nam Tae Hyun is recovering at the Drug Addiction Rehabilitation Center in Seoul.
This is a private organization specializing in drug treatment and rehabilitation run by people who have successfully recovered from drug addiction. The center operates with funding from organizations and private individuals without government support.
According to the singer born in 1994, the center often receives many calls from drug addicts wishing to receive support for recovery, but the center cannot respond due to lack of funding.
Nam Tae Hyun is a former member of the famous K-pop group Winner.

He believes that drugs are viruses like infectious diseases and if used, people cannot find the value of life and all life revolves around drugs.

In August 2022, Nam Tae Hyun was indicted for drug use with his girlfriend Seo Min Jae. At that time, Seo Min Jae posted on social media that Nam Tae Hyun had used Philopon.
Police collected urine and hair from Nam Tae Hyun and sent him to the National Forensic Service, which tested positive for Philopon. Police applied for an arrest warrant for the two last month, but the court rejected the warrant, saying that the singer had shown remorse and had checked himself into a rehabilitation facility, with the will to quit.
Nam Tae Hyun was also charged with drunk driving in Sinsadong, Gangnamgu, Seoul in March 2022 and was fined 6 million KWR.
In early 2023, the male singer admitted to being addicted to methamphetamine and checked himself into a rehabilitation facility. Because of his addiction, the male singer also got into a lot of debt, forcing him to sell his parents' house to pay off the debt.
Due to financial difficulties, he also had to work part-time at a restaurant.
According to Seoul newspaper, not long ago, Nam Tae Hyun created his own Youtube channel to share about his journey of drug addiction treatment.
Here, he recounts his journey from a singer who became an addict, giving up his personality, to the point of being trash.
"I apologize to the fans who believed in me and to all those I hurt. I apologize to my mother. No one grabbed me by the collar and threatened me to live like this. It's all my fault and I have to live to take responsibility for my choices," he confided.
The former member of Winner admitted that there was a time when he thought about making an extreme choice. However, he felt that it was cowardly so he decided to become a different person.
