(Dan Tri) - During a surprise inspection of a karaoke bar in Hau Nghia town, Duc Hoa district (Long An), police discovered the owner and staff organizing the use and sale of drugs to customers.
On March 11, Long An Provincial Police temporarily detained Tran Thien Tam (40 years old) and Tran Thi Hue Phuong (54 years old, both residing in Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City) to investigate the acts of buying, selling, harboring, and organizing illegal use of drugs. Phuong is the owner of the karaoke bar, Tam is an employee.

At around 9:00 p.m. on March 9, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Long An Province Police coordinated with Hau Nghia Town Police to conduct a surprise inspection of karaoke bar 368 in Hau Nghia Town, Duc Hoa District.
Detectives discovered that Tam was selling drugs to customers who came to sing. When checking Tam, the police discovered that he was hiding 4 nylon bags containing about 10 grams of white crystals and 13 blue tablets.
Tam admitted that the substances were drugs. Tam bought the drugs and resold them to customers for profit. The police also tested all the guests at the karaoke bar and found 33 people tested positive for drugs.
