Attending the ceremony were Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan; former Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan; Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Education Nguyen Dac Vinh and leaders of ministries and branches.

Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Quoc Thong, Chairman of the Board of Doan Thi Diem Secondary and High School, said that since the first year of establishment with only 5 classrooms and 25 teachers, the school now has 2 spacious, modern facilities with 117 classrooms and more than 3,800 students, 280 staff and teachers.
Through the 20-year journey of hardship and difficulty, the teachers and students of the school have realized a school with the goal of comprehensively developing students' abilities. There, each child is cared for, cherished, loved and loved together like a family.
With the efforts and dedication of teachers and the support of parents, the "sweet fruit" the school has achieved in those 20 years is thousands of students receiving scholarships, medals and national and international awards; thousands of students are admitted to specialized schools and top schools in the city.
“What I want to emphasize is that besides academic results, the school always maintains core humanistic values, creating a friendly and warm educational environment for students,” Associate Professor Thong said.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and good educational results of teachers and students of Doan Thi Diem Secondary School.
“In addition to improving the quality of teaching, the school focuses on organizing many extracurricular activities to train students' physical, mental and skills, proving that the unit has followed the right direction of the 2018 general education program. That is, the new program has shifted from focusing on knowledge education to developing students' qualities and abilities,” according to the Deputy Minister.
Mr. Thuong also suggested that the school continue to innovate teaching and learning, focusing on methods to help students know how to study, self-study and aim for lifelong learning.
For schools, he requested to develop a practical educational plan, apply digital transformation, create an environment and favorable conditions for teachers to be creative; each teacher must be dedicated, exemplary, and set an example for students, and students must be diligent in practicing and implementing well the 5 teachings of Uncle Ho.
Doan Thi Diem Secondary School was established in 2005 and has gone through 20 years of construction and development, increasingly affirming its position as one of the "famous" high-quality schools in Hanoi.
