Chloe Arcy shares her experience on Bored Panda - a reader-only information site that writes: If you've ever been to Phu Quoc - Vietnam's famous Pearl Island, you've probably been blown away by its stunning beaches, emerald waters and luxury resorts. However, what really surprised me on my recent trip was something extraordinary: Phu Quoc had two fireworks displays, in the same evening!

The First Fireworks - A Brilliant Evening Greeting
That evening, after enjoying the romantic sunset on the Kissing Bridge, my friends and I went to the bay area near the bridge to watch the "Symphony of the Sea" show at 7:45 pm. The interesting thing is that this show takes place every day, so visitors can experience its wonders no matter when they come to Phu Quoc. I was really surprised that this jet ski and hoverboard show featured so many different types of fireworks. This was probably the first time I witnessed a show with so many types of fireworks.
Various fireworks displays in Phu Quoc
As the fireworks lit up the night sky, the entire space exploded with brilliant colors. Each burst of fireworks resembled flowers in full bloom, their reflections sparkling beautifully on the calm sea. I was completely mesmerized by the spectacular display. These unique fireworks, which were shot into the water before lighting up the sky, were unlike anything I had ever seen. Witnessing this incredible spectacle for the first time was truly an unforgettable experience - it left me breathless, completely mesmerized!
The feeling was indescribable: both excitement and surprise. Everyone was amazed, laughing and talking and raising their phones to record this magical scene. When the show ended, I felt like I had been transported to another world - a world filled with bright lights, pure joy and a refreshing feeling of happiness. I thought the evening was perfect, but it turned out that Phu Quoc had another surprise waiting for me.
Second Fireworks - From Surprise to Unforgettable Memories
After the first fireworks display, we walked around Sunset Town, enjoying delicious local food. But just as the clock struck 9pm, the “Kiss of the Sea” show began, and once again, the Phu Quoc night sky lit up. This spectacular performance was truly a feast for the senses, combining cutting-edge technology with awe-inspiring effects. In addition to the brilliant visuals, it also carried profound messages about culture, environmental protection, the warm hospitality of Phu Quoc people and the spirit of the Vietnamese people in general.

This time, the fireworks display was even more exciting, with lively music creating a festive atmosphere. Everyone around me cheered and raised their cameras to capture every dreamy moment of this spectacular spectacle. As I stood there, surrounded by a colorful symphony and the thunderous sound of fireworks, I felt like I was living a wonderful dream on Pearl Island.
A place where surprises always await
In Phu Quoc, you can relax on beautiful beaches such as Sao Beach, Kem Beach, explore the vibrant coral reefs of An Thoi archipelago, or relax in the poetic beauty of Sunset Town. And don’t forget the culinary paradise, from fresh seafood in Ham Ninh to local delicacies such as Vietnamese herring salad and bun quay that will leave you completely enchanted. If you are looking for a destination that is both relaxing and refreshingly exciting, Phu Quoc is the place for you. It’s not just about admiring the beauty or enjoying the cuisine, but also about capturing unexpected moments, like witnessing two spectacular fireworks displays in one magical evening.
Cool and smooth Kem beach
The moment I set foot on Kem Beach, I was overwhelmed with amazement and admiration. Everything here is like a dream - from the white sand and crystal clear water to the luxurious resorts that are harmoniously nestled in nature. The sea is a captivating emerald green. But the most remarkable thing is the sand. It is so soft and white that it almost seems unreal. I have been to Bali, Phuket and even the Maldives, but the feeling of stepping on Kem Beach is truly unique. The sand here is as smooth as cream, so white that if someone told me it was "melted coconut ice cream", I would have no doubt. So, let Kem Beach be the next chapter in your journey of discovery. I am sure that, like me, you will leave with a heart full of longing and a silent promise to yourself: "I will come back".
