With the approved fee collection level, Hanoi requires high-quality public schools and the public to commit to ensuring the same quality.
The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued an official dispatch on the implementation of Resolution No. 18 of the City People's Council. This resolution approves new tuition fees for high-quality public schools and autonomous public schools in the capital.
Accordingly, the City People's Committee requested the Hanoi Department of Education and Training to direct its affiliated public educational institutions to strictly implement the approved tuition fees.
Schools must commit to ensuring the quality of education commensurate with the new tuition fees. At the same time, it is necessary to publicize tuition fees, strengthen direction on improving the quality of teaching and learning; financial collection and expenditure must be public, transparent and used for the right purposes.
For policy students, schools must fully and seriously implement regulations on tuition exemption and reduction, support for learning costs and other policies.
The new tuition fees are as follows:
The highest fee for preschool is 5.1 million VND/month. The highest fee for primary school is 4.65 million VND/month. The fees for secondary school and high school are 4.05 million VND/month and 6.1 million VND/month, respectively.
As for Chu Van An Secondary School, the city assigned the Long Bien District People's Committee to decide on the collection level based on the allowed ceiling of 5.3 million VND/month, based on the socio-economic conditions in the area.
