On March 3, the Da Nang Department of Tourism said that Emirates Airlines announced that it will increase its presence in Asia by opening 4 weekly flights to Da Nang (Vietnam) and 3 weekly flights to Siem Reap (Cambodia), via a transit point in Bangkok (Thailand).

Specifically, Da Nang city is the third destination in Vietnam chosen by Emirates to operate flights, after Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Round-trip flights to Da Nang city will be operated every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with two classes, with 35 Business Class seats and 368 Economy Class seats.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, said: “Vietnam holds a strategic position in Emirates’ Southeast Asia network. The expansion of operations to Da Nang as a third destination in Vietnam comes at an opportune time, following the signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the UAE and Vietnam.

“We believe that this new route will enhance bilateral trade relations and economic cooperation between the two countries. We sincerely thank our local partners as well as Da Nang International Airport for their support,” Mr. Adnan Kazim emphasized.

According to Emirates, the flight schedules will be optimized to easily transport passengers from major European cities such as London, Paris, Amsterdam, Manchester, Milan, Rome or major cities in the US to Da Nang. In particular, Emirates' opening of flights to Da Nang will also easily connect the wealthy segment of customers from the Middle East to Da Nang city.
