On January 18, Le Quy Don High School (District 3, Ho Chi Minh City) held a ceremony to celebrate its 150th anniversary. According to the Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City Dictionary, this is the oldest high school in Ho Chi Minh City today and has been selected as one of the cultural relics of Ho Chi Minh City.

The 150th anniversary celebration of Le Quy Don High School was attended by Mr. Phan Nguyen Nhu Khue, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, along with representatives of departments and branches.
According to the history of the formation and development of Le Quy Don High School, the school started construction in 1874 and was completed in 1877.
At first, Le Quy Don High School was named Collège Indigène (Indigenous High School), then changed to Collège Chasseloup Laubat, named after the French Minister of Colonies. After 1954, the school was renamed Jean Jacques Rousseau. By 1970, the school became Le Quy Don Education Center.
Former students happily return to school on the occasion of the anniversary
After 1975, the school was divided into two areas: one for secondary school students (Le Quy Don Secondary School) and one for high school students (Le Quy Don High School).
In August 1977, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee signed a decision to establish Le Quy Don High School.

Currently, Le Quy Don High School is recognized as meeting national standards level 2 (the highest level in the national standard school assessment scale) and has achieved education quality accreditation level 3 (the highest level in the training quality assessment scale). Since the 2006-2007 school year, Le Quy Don High School is the first school in Ho Chi Minh City to implement an advanced model following the trend of international integration.

Recognizing the outstanding contributions of the 150-year-old school, Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy said that the 150th anniversary celebration has a special meaning and mark because it not only marks the 150-year history of a city-level architectural and artistic relic but also encourages the school in its pioneering journey of innovation, creativity and international integration.
From this school, many generations of students have made their names in history with their patriotism, studiousness, daring to take risks, creativity and burning passion.
The Board of Directors of Le Quy Don High School received the Traditional Flag awarded by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

On the occasion of the school's 150th anniversary, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee decided to award the Traditional Flag of the City People's Committee to Le Quy Don High School for its outstanding achievements in the process of construction and development.
