Located a few kilometers from the center of Mu Cang Chai town (Yen Bai province), Mo De bamboo forest has become an attractive tourist destination, with many scenes like in the Chinese swordplay movies The Condor Heroes or The Smiling, Proud Wanderer.
From Highway 32, visitors need to travel another 3.5 km to reach the top of the hill in Mo De Commune, Mu Cang Chai District, Yen Bai, where the bamboo forest tourist site is located. The road leading to the forest is more than 1 meter wide, steep and winding, requiring the driver to have a steady hand. The entrance fee to the bamboo forest is 30,000 VND/person.
The bamboo forest is about 3 hectares wide, bordering the old forest. According to the local tour guide, this bamboo forest has existed for about 80 years, originally planted by the local people to get materials to build houses, road fences, water troughs... Over time, this place has gradually become a unique and attractive tourist destination.
The entrance to the bamboo forest is made of earth and steps, making it easy for visitors to explore on foot. With its wild and unique beauty, Mo De bamboo forest has become an attractive destination, attracting domestic and foreign tourists.
The dense bamboo leaves intertwine with each other, and every time the wind blows, they make a rhythmic rustling sound, like the music of the mountains and forests. The sound of the leaves swaying and the chirping of birds on the tall bamboo trees create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
The intertwined bamboo roots cling tightly to the ground, holding the tree steady against strong winds and storms.
In the forest, many miniatures are arranged to increase the attraction, such as swings swaying under bamboo canopies, romantic heart models, traditional Mong flutes or unique miniatures such as the moon, bird nests and tables and chairs made from bamboo.
The sunlight penetrated through the leaves, creating shimmering streaks of light dancing on the ground.
“Although the road up is quite steep and difficult to walk, the scenery here is really impressive. Looking at the lush green bamboo forests, I feel like I am entering the world of ancient Chinese films such as The Return of the Condor Heroes or The Smiling, Proud Wanderer," a tourist shared.
