Nuoc Mooc Stream is hidden in the primeval forest of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, in Phuc Trach Commune, Bo Trach District (Quang Binh). This stream is called Nuoc Mooc because in the local language, "mơoc" means "grow", and the water source of this stream literally "grows" from underground. According to many geological researchers, this water source may originate from underground water sources, inside the vertical cliffs.
Upstream of Nuoc Mooc stream, there is a water hole of 80 - 90 m2 with many large rocks with strange shapes and patterns lying under the forest canopy. Downstream are rapids, reefs and waterfalls that flow all year round.
Around March, clusters of yellow flowers bloom on both sides of Nuoc Mooc stream, creating a beautiful scene in the middle of Phong Nha - Ke Bang World Natural Heritage forest.
The Golden Orchid is a woody plant with flowers that grow in clusters, are bright red and yellow with a strong fragrance, highly characteristic of the flora of the Phong Nha - Ke Bang area.
The Yellow Orchid Flower is also known as the Vo Uu flower - a flower that symbolizes no worries or sadness, with the idea of aiming for nobility, liberation from all turbidity...
When in full bloom, the Yellow English Flower is likened to the "fire" of the mountains and forests because of its orange-red color standing out among the green of the great forest.
Clusters of yellow flowers reflect in the emerald green water of Nuoc Mooc stream, creating a beautiful scene.
The Yellow Orchid flowers are in full bloom, giving off a light, gentle fragrance that captivates people’s hearts. Many tourists come to see the flowers, listen to the birds singing, the sound of the stream babbling, immerse themselves in nature, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Every time the Yellow Anh flowers are in season, Nuoc Mooc stream seems to be more bustling because tourists flock here to explore and find beautiful moments. Along with the beauty of the flowers, tourists enjoy exciting games such as kayaking, ziplining, etc.
Mr. Hoang Minh Thang, Director of Phong Nha - Ke Bang Tourism Center, said that the blooming of the yellow flowers and many other native flowers help make the landscape of the Nuoc Mooc stream area more beautiful, enhancing the value of the tourist area, attracting many tourists to visit and experience.
