The fake announcement of FPT University about the Japanese Government Scholarship Program in 2024 clearly stated: the program will recruit 120 candidates, including 80 postgraduates; 30 university students; 5 college students and 5 vocational secondary students; the candidates are Vietnamese citizens with good political and moral qualities, who really want to study in Japan. The scholarship program is 100% funded by the Japanese Government, including round-trip international airfare, tuition, and sightseeing expenses during the entire study period. The program lasts 3 months, all expenses will be covered by the school. When deciding to participate, the school will organize a parent meeting on campus.

“To participate in the program, the school requires students to demonstrate specific financial capacity, requiring an amount of 120 million VND in a bank account to obtain a statement for the school. The school notifies all staff, lecturers and students who are in need and meet the course requirements to register to participate,” the announcement stated.
It is worth mentioning that the above notice has the full number, stamp, and signature of principal Le Truong Tung, however, this fake document states that FPT University belongs to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development while this school belongs to FPT Corporation.
Dr. Le Truong Tung, Chairman of the Board of FPT University, affirmed that the above document is a forgery aimed at defrauding students of scholarships to study abroad.
According to Mr. Tung, recently, there has been a lot of fraudulent information related to study abroad brokerage, recruitment, and enrollment associated with the names of units within FPT and he recommends that everyone raise their vigilance.
He advised students as well as all citizens, when accessing information, to follow three principles: All official information must be published on the school's official information portals.
Regarding finance, FPT University strictly applies the policy of not using cash, all payments, if any, are made through the school's account, not in the name of individuals or other organizations. And before transferring money, people should be careful and consider carefully because money that leaves your pocket should no longer be considered your money.
