On January 23, 2024, Google announced plans to add experimental artificial intelligence (AI) features to the latest version of the Google Chrome browser, version 121. These smart features are designed to help users easily organize tabs, create topics, and compose content.
With the Tab Organizer feature, the AI feature allows to suggest and create tab groups based on the open tabs. Users can access this feature by right-clicking on the tab and selecting the 'Organize Similar Tabs' option.
The new Chrome update also brings the ability to create custom themes using the text-to-image diffusion model.
Users can create themes based on mood, visual style, and color scheme. The 'Create theme with AI' option is available in the 'Chrome Settings' taskbar.
For online content creation, such as in forums, Chrome can now help users create content. To do this, simply right-click on the text field you want to select and select the “Help me write” option.
The tab organization and theming features will roll out to Chrome users in the US in the coming days, while the help me write feature will be available in the next Chrome update in a month.
Users can enable experimental AI features in Chrome settings, by clicking the 3-dot menu and selecting AI experiments.
