Galaxy users need to update to the March security patch that Samsung just released
The list of Galaxy devices receiving the March security update includes Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Galaxy A55.
Note that the update will be rolled out gradually, so if your device is on the list but hasn't received the update yet, check back in a few days. To check for the update on your Samsung Galaxy device, go to Settings > Software update and select Download and Install . Before installing, be sure to back up important data.
58 security flaws fixed by Samsung
The March security patch reportedly fixes 58 security flaws, including 51 from Google and seven from Samsung. Notably, 11 of the vulnerabilities are rated as “critical” and 40 are rated “high.” Samsung’s fixes concern Bluetooth Auracast, Galaxy Watch Gallery, MAC addresses, and improper access control. Samsung is also preparing for the release of the stable One UI 7 update. The company is working to quickly release the update to older Galaxy devices, while also expanding the One UI 7 beta program to more devices.
