Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said relations with the United States could still be salvaged after a heated argument with US President Donald Trump at the White House on February 28.

"Of course," the Ukrainian president replied to a question about the possibility of repairing relations with President Trump in an interview with Fox News.
Mr. Zelensky said that the relationship between Kyiv and Washington was not just about the two presidents, adding that Ukraine was in dire need of US help in its conflict with Russia.
"It will be very difficult without the support of the United States," Fox News quoted the leader.
President Zelensky made a conciliatory move hours after a rare Oval Office argument that threatened to affect years of US policy of supporting Ukraine against Russia, according to AFP on March 1.
However, Mr Zelensky refused to apologize to Mr Trump. "I don't know what we did wrong?", the Ukrainian leader asked, but he said the argument should not have happened in front of a large group of journalists.
European leaders have voiced support for Ukraine after Mr Zelensky left the White House earlier than expected and failed to sign a mineral deal that was key to future US-brokered peace talks.
In front of the press, President Trump and Vice President JD Vance criticized Mr. Zelensky for not being grateful for all the support and agreeing to the terms of peace talks proposed by Washington.
After the Ukrainian president left the White House, Mr. Trump shared on his social media account that "he may return once he is ready for peace."
US media reported that senior US officials asked Mr. Zelensky to leave.
