Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky left the White House after a heated argument with US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance.

President Trump and President Zelensky at the White House
On February 28, Ukrainian President Zelensky went to the White House and met directly with President Trump to discuss the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine as well as plans to sign a mineral agreement with the United States.
However, the meeting was extremely tense as the two sides openly argued fiercely. In the end, Mr. Zelensky left the White House earlier than expected and no agreement was signed.
As the meeting began, the White House chief said that a ceasefire in Ukraine was relatively close and raised hopes for a mineral deal that the two sides planned to sign. In response, the Ukrainian leader also expressed hope that the deal would be a step forward for Ukraine, while calling on President Trump to stand by Ukraine and not compromise with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
