On the afternoon of December 1, at the Party Central Committee headquarters, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong received Politburo member, Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who is visiting and working in Vietnam.
At the meeting, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong welcomed comrade Wang Yi's visit to Vietnam, believing that the visit will actively contribute to promoting cooperation between the two countries to become increasingly deeper, more substantive and effective.
General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong conveyed his warm regards to General Secretary and President Xi Jinping and other Chinese leaders; highlighted the significance of the Vietnam-China friendly neighborly relationship and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership; expressed his appreciation for the Chinese people's assistance to Vietnam's revolutionary cause and the cause of building socialism and developing the country; and affirmed the Party and State of Vietnam's high regard and top priority for the Vietnam-China relationship.
Congratulating China on its achievements in recent years, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong believes that under the leadership of the Communist Party of China with General Secretary and President Xi Jinping as the core, China will certainly successfully achieve the goals set by the 20th Congress. Vietnam always supports socialist China to develop strongly and play an increasingly important role in peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong highly appreciated the very positive developments in the relationship between the two Parties and countries, especially the outstanding achievements in the 15 years since the two countries established a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
Acknowledging the important results of the 15th Meeting of the Steering Committee for Vietnam-China Bilateral Cooperation, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong suggested that both sides, especially the foreign affairs and diplomatic agencies of the two Parties and countries, promote their leading role in comprehensively promoting relations in all fields, focusing on increasing high-level exchanges and contacts to create strategic orientations for bilateral relations, creating a favorable atmosphere for the overall relations between the two Parties and countries, which have been constantly developing well.

Comrade Wang Yi sincerely thanked General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong for taking the time to receive the delegation and respectfully conveyed the greetings of General Secretary and President Xi Jinping to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
Comrade Wang Yi expressed his high agreement and acceptance of the important and strategically significant orientations of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on continuing to promote and deepen the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two Parties and two countries.
Congratulating Vietnam on the great and historic achievements over nearly 40 years of renovation and since the 13th National Congress, Comrade Wang Yi expressed his belief that under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam headed by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Vietnam will certainly successfully achieve the development goals by 2030 and 2045 set by the 13th National Congress.
Comrade Wang Yi informed about the common perceptions and important results that the two sides have achieved at the 15th meeting of the Vietnam-China Steering Committee for Bilateral Cooperation; emphasizing that under the direction and orientation of the two General Secretaries of the two Parties, the sectors at all levels of the two sides will continue to promote substantive and effective cooperation in all fields, enhance political trust, and continuously enrich the content of the friendly neighborly relationship and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China in the coming time.
