3 days 2 nights in Mang Den
At around 9pm, Ms. Hue Man (26 years old) and a group of friends took a bus from Ho Chi Minh City to Mang Den (Kon Tum). After about 13 hours, she arrived at Mang Den town. Here, the group of 4 people rented a hotel room for 800,000 VND for 2 nights.
"We came to Mang Den on Sunday, but it was not too crowded. We booked a room early through an online application, so the room rate was quite good. If calculated, each person only spent about 100,000 VND for a night's stay," said Ms. Man.
Ms. Man said that the hotel room she rented was located in the center of Mang Den town, convenient for visiting famous places here.
After breakfast, her group rented motorbikes for 150,000 VND/bike/day to visit Konke Community Tourism Village, about 6km from the city center. This place is famous for its wild beauty, covered by green pine forests and majestic mountains.
At 3:00 p.m., the group visited and ate at the night market, and stopped by the "million view" green pine road in Mang Den and Dak Ke lake to take "virtual life" photos.
According to Ms. Man, food and drinks in Mang Den are affordable. The shops at the night markets are diverse and rich with many attractive local dishes, which can satisfy tourists.
On the second day in Mang Den, Ms. Man and her friends hunted clouds at Tien Nhan hill, visited Pa Sy waterfall and experienced some famous restaurants and cafes with beautiful scenery here.
In the afternoon, the group visited Kon Klor communal house and beautiful landscapes in the area. Ms. Man said that in Mang Den, "you can take beautiful photos anywhere". On the third day of the trip, the group visited the grass hill of area 37 households and Kon Tu Rang suspension bridge - a check-in spot loved by many young people.
Immersing herself in the fresh air and majestic nature, Ms. Man felt all her fatigue disappear. According to her, this was a worthy "healing" trip and she will definitely return to Mang Den one day soon.
"Mang Den truly has an indescribable beauty because of its wild natural scenery, which can make people feel light and comfortable. During this trip, we spent most of our time taking photos and enjoying the food. It is worth mentioning that we ate our fill but the total cost was only about 2.1 million VND/person," said Ms. Man.
Mang Den travel experience
Mang Den town (Kon Plong district, Kon Tum) is located at an altitude of about 1,200m above sea level. The daytime temperature here is about 16-18 degrees Celsius, at night it drops lower, foggy, cold air spreads everywhere. That is why, when coming to Mang Den, visitors need to bring extra clothes to keep their bodies warm.
In recent years, Mang Den has become a tourist destination attracting visitors with its poetic beauty and fresh air. This place is even called by many people as "the second Da Lat of the Central Highlands".
In addition to the majestic mountain scenery, Mang Den is also famous for its brilliant cherry blossoms in spring, the blooming season of Ban flowers around February, the purple phoenix flower season around March and April, and the ripe rice season around June.
To travel to Mang Den, in addition to buses from provinces to Mang Den town center, visitors can choose to fly to Kon Tum, then take a bus for a shorter distance.
Mang Den is a small town so the main type of accommodation is homestay. Room rates here range from 300,000 to 500,000 VND/night. Currently, Mang Den has many accommodation establishments that rent motorbikes for tourists to travel conveniently at a price of about 150,000 VND/bike/day.
