On the morning of March 9, the Coffee and OCOP Products Exhibition Fair - one of the outstanding activities of the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025 - officially opened. Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Pham Ngoc Nghi - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Tran Phu Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Truong Cong Thai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. The two media ambassadors of the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025 are Miss H'Hen Nie and Miss Dinh Thi Hoa, along with leaders of departments, branches and sectors inside and outside the province.
435 booths of 180 domestic and international units and enterprises
The Coffee and OCOP Products Exhibition Fair takes place from March 9 to 13, 2025 with the theme "Buon Ma Thuot - Destination of World Coffee". The fair has the participation of 435 booths from 180 domestic and international units and enterprises. Participating units display, exhibit, promote and introduce coffee, pepper, cashew, coffee-related ancillary products, and regional specialties.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Truong Cong Thai said: Dak Lak is known as the "coffee capital of Vietnam" with an annual output of more than 535,000 tons. Dak Lak owns the largest coffee growing area in Vietnam, in 2023, it was confirmed by the Vietnam Record Organization to have 212,106 hectares. Dak Lak Province is very proud to contribute to affirming Vietnam's position on the world coffee map.
The specialized exhibition fair for coffee and OCOP products aims to promote and honor the Vietnamese coffee brand in general, Dak Lak and Buon Ma Thuot coffee in particular; at the same time, it aims to promote investment, connect trade, and build Buon Ma Thuot City as the "Coffee City of the World" according to Resolution No. 176/NQ-CP dated October 30, 2023 of the Government.

This is also an opportunity for businesses and investors to introduce typical coffee and OCOP products; create conditions for businesses and investors to meet, exchange experiences, expand cooperation and develop links. At the same time, through exchange, connection and promotion activities, the Fair will contribute to enhancing the image of Buon Ma Thuot City with famous coffee brands; affirming an attractive destination, introducing tourism potential, promoting investment in the field of coffee and agricultural products.
"This year's fair also has an important meaning towards the sustainable development of the Vietnamese coffee industry. We hope that deeply processed and diversified coffee products combined with modern technology will increase export value and bring Buon Ma Thuot coffee closer to consumers around the world. We call on domestic and international businesses and investors to join hands so that coffee is not only a drink, a unique cultural symbol connecting people around the world but also a pride of Vietnam" - Mr. Truong Cong Thai emphasized.
Diverse forms of experience for tourists
This year's Coffee and OCOP Products Exhibition also features a coffee-making space in European, Latin American and Ethiopian styles to meet the needs of locals and tourists who want to visit, improve their knowledge of coffee and learn about different coffee-making styles around the world.
In addition to coffee and OCOP products, the Fair also displays and introduces items such as machinery, equipment, agriculture, fertilizers, coffee industry support products, etc.

Sharing with reporters of Cong Thuong Newspaper, Mr. Luu Van Khoi - Director of Dak Lak Department of Industry and Trade - Head of the Fair Organizing Committee said: The fair is organized on a large scale and has diverse booths, so consumers will have better access to the products of businesses. In addition, many participating booths both display and livestream (live broadcast on social networking platforms) to sell products.
"This exhibition is an opportunity for Dak Lak people to promote local OCOP products to tourists and businesses to expand their business networks. Through the fair, people and businesses will have the opportunity to update new trends in business and applications of science and technology in production. Thereby aiming to develop a sustainable coffee industry" , Mr. Luu Van Khoi shared.
