Run and explore the roads in the heart of Phong Nha - Ke Bang heritage

Many athletes are excited and thrilled to be able to exert themselves on beautiful, pristine roads in the heart of Phong Nha - Ke Bang heritage.
On March 8-9, in Phong Nha town (Bo Trach district), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Binh organized the Quang Binh Discovery Marathon - 2025, attracting more than 1,200 sports lovers in general and running in particular to participate and explore the wonders in the heart of the heritage.

Many foreign athletes participated in the Quang Binh Discovery Run.

This year's season has 4 competition distances: 6km, 10km, 25km and 42km, suitable for each age, physical strength as well as bringing different nuances from the natural landscape.

The 10km distance is the journey on the 20 Quyet Thang road downhill in the middle of the primeval forest, starting from the Botanical Garden and finishing at Phong Nha Tourist Center with a distance of 6km.

Run through the night in the heart of the world natural heritage to explore the heritage of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park.

The final distance is a challenging 42km, athletes will go deep into the core of Truong Son forest, the most beautiful section through the forest with primeval forests and majestic cliffs. Along with admiring the majestic natural picture, athletes participating in this distance will also pass through spiritual tourist attractions, associated with the heroic history of the nation on the legendary road during the anti-American war. Both routes of 25 and 42km, end at the Song Chay - Hang Toi Tourist Center.

More than 1,200 athletes registered to participate in the Phong Nha - Ke Bang discovery run.

“The roads here are very beautiful, running through the forest, especially in this weather, seeing the clouds, fog, and fresh air, I feel very happy. The first time I experienced this race, I am surpassing myself,” Mr. Truong shared.

Like Mr. Truong, after reaching the finish line, many athletes were very excited and thrilled to be able to exert themselves on beautiful, pristine roads in the heart of the world natural heritage Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park.
