On March 22, the film crew of "Ghost Lights" organized two free screenings at the provincial Cultural Center.
The film "Den am hon" by director Hoang Nam has the content of honoring the unique cultural beauty of the nation in the 19th century, with a profound message about worshiping and being grateful to ancestors, developed from the historical story "The story of a girl from Nam Xuong" by author Nguyen Du. The film was invested and filmed at famous locations and destinations of Trung Khanh district (Cao Bang) such as: Ban Gioc waterfall, Mat Than Nui, Co La waterfall, ancient chestnut forest, bamboo forest and many other prominent locations.
Audiences commented that this is a horror film but still has many humanistic values, integrating the spiritual world with the living and the dead, family ties, warm villages, and affection... The story 'The Young Woman of Nam Xuong' has a sad ending, but the director cleverly used his genre to bring the female lead back to her family.
“The Ghost Lamp” is considered the surprise of this year because it is the debut work of an amateur director. The heat from Hoang Nam’s first film helps him leave his own mark.
The free film screening attracted a large audience, thereby introducing to the people and tourists the image of the land, people, typical and outstanding cultural heritage values of Cao Bang; contributing to promoting and boosting the tourism industry, contributing to the cause of innovation, integration and development of the province.
