On August 24 in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Tinh Anh - LEGO Education, the Embassy of Denmark, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City and Vinamilk co-organized the final round of Robotacon WRO 2024.

After nearly a month of exciting qualifying rounds across the country, the national round of Robotacon WRO 2024 was successfully held with the participation of more than 350 excellent contestants selected from previous qualifying rounds.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Mr. Jesper Hassellund Mikkelsen, Vice President of LEGO Group and General Director of LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam, was delighted to see a large number of Vietnamese students participating in this prestigious robotics competition. The LEGO Group is proud to be the main sponsor of the international competition.
The final round ended with 99 contestants from 13 teams (8-19 years old) and 20 teams (6-10 years old) being named out of a total of 462 teams from 299 primary, secondary and high schools in 28 provinces and cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Hanoi, Thua Thien Hue, Hai Duong, Binh Duong.
Thus, 99 contestants from 33 excellent teams will participate in the world finals taking place in Singapore and Turkey in November 2024 to compete with teams from more than 95 countries such as the US, Denmark, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, and Korea.
This year, ROBOTACON WRO 2024 with the theme “Earth Allies” is divided into groups with different levels of difficulty, skill requirements and challenges. The ROBOMISSION group (B0, B1, B2, B3) focuses on the ability to design engineering, assemble and program robots to solve practical problems.
Future Innovator (B4) helps contestants demonstrate and fully develop the abilities of 21st century students such as: research skills, presentation skills, critical thinking in addition to basic knowledge such as: robot assembly and programming. B5 ROBOT SPORT requires high expertise in technical design and programming for teams that want to develop in depth in the field of robotics.
The winning team of each group will receive a trophy, medals, the right to represent Vietnam in the WRO World Competition and LEGO gifts from sponsors, including the "Raising the bar Awards" from Vinamilk. All participating teams will receive a certificate from the Danish Embassy in addition to the prize.
