Attending the ceremony were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Gennady Bezdetko, representatives of Vietnamese ministries, departments and agencies and the Russian community in Vietnam.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son said that the Soviet Union was one of the first countries in the world to recognize and establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam. Over the past 75 years, the two countries have experienced many ups and downs, but with a diplomatic policy stemming from a sincere heart, Vietnam and Russia have always stood side by side, always being loyal, respectful, understanding and supportive friends.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister, the Party, State and people of Vietnam will never forget the wholehearted support of the Soviet Union and Russian people in the cause of liberating the South, reunifying the country, as well as in the cause of protecting, building and developing the country.
Construction works built with the help of the Soviet Union and Russia decades ago, symbols of friendship between the two nations such as the Hoa Binh Hydroelectric Plant and Thang Long Bridge, still contribute positively to the development of Vietnam.

"Vietnam and Russia together continue to write new pages for the traditional friendship and good cooperation, meeting the interests and aspirations of both peoples, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world," the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister emotionally shared.
Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Gennady Bezdetko affirmed that over the past three-quarters of a century, Vietnam-Russia relations have gone through a long and glorious journey.
The people of the two countries have always stood side by side in the most difficult times, and sincere friendship and mutual affection have become a solid foundation for close cooperation between Vietnam and Russia.

According to the Ambassador, Vietnam and Russia are promoting strong cooperation in all fields, meeting the aspirations of the people of the two countries, contributing to maintaining peace, security and stability in the Asia-Pacific region and the world.
The Ambassador believes that the diverse cooperation between Vietnam and Russia will continue to develop dynamically in new geopolitical conditions, based on the good foundation built by previous generations; thereby continuing to deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
