In the 7 programs, there are 5 engineering programs, including: high-speed railway (transportation engineering), railway and urban railway (transportation engineering), high-speed railway vehicles (mechanical engineering), high-speed railway power systems, urban railway (electrical engineering), modern railway control and signaling (control and automation engineering).
2 bachelor programs include: urban railway operation and management, high-speed railway operation and management (both in the transport operation industry).
Speaking with Thanh Nien Newspaper, Dr. Pham Thanh Ha, Head of University Training Department, University of Transport, said that the school will implement training programs newly issued from the second semester of the 2024-2025 school year.
Third-year students in related majors (transportation engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, control and automation engineering, and transportation operations) will be allowed by the school to transfer to majors serving the modern railway industry if they have a need.
It is expected that each major will have one class, with a minimum of 30 students.
For the 2025 university admissions, the school will enroll in the above majors as soon as candidates register their university admission wishes, with 250 quotas.
Dr. Pham Thanh Ha also said that for university admissions in 2025, in addition to 7 majors in the field of modern railways, the school will also enroll a new major in semiconductor circuit design (part of the computer engineering talent training program), with 90 quotas.
Specifically, the 2025 university enrollment targets and information for new majors serving the modern railway sector are as follows:
In which, PT1 is the admission method based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam and students who won national and international prizes; PT2 is the admission method based on high school academic results (based on academic transcripts); PT3 is the admission method based on the 2025 capacity assessment results of Hanoi National University for some majors enrolled and trained in Hanoi and the admission method based on the 2025 capacity assessment results of Ho Chi Minh City National University for majors enrolled and trained at the Ho Chi Minh City Branch; PT4 is the admission method based on the 2025 thinking assessment results of Hanoi University of Science and Technology for some majors enrolled and trained in Hanoi.
