Launching the pilot model of "Drug-free Ward"

On the morning of August 11, the People's Committee and the Police of Nam Cuong Ward, Lao Cai City organized the launching of the model "Drug-free Ward". This is the first model in Lao Cai province, demonstrating the determination and coordination of the entire political system, forces and people in eliminating drugs in the area.

At the launching ceremony, after approving the Party Committee's Resolution, the plan and decisions of the Ward People's Committee on building and implementing the model, representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Military Command, local mass organizations and the people signed a commitment to effectively implement the model of "Drug-free Ward".

The ward’s determination is to prevent sudden, unexpected incidents from occurring and the formation of “hot spots”. In particular, to prevent the illegal buying, selling, storing, transporting, and using of drugs from occurring in the ward.

The construction of the "Drug-free Ward" model in Nam Cuong ward aims to enhance and promote the combined strength of the entire political system and the entire population in performing the task of ensuring political security, social order and safety as well as building the movement "All people participate in protecting national security".
