Striving to recognize 25-30 more OCOP products from 3 stars in 2025

QTO - Information from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Tri province said that the unit has just issued a plan to implement the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program in 2025 in Quang Tri province - the theme "Strengthening management, inspection and supervision of products that have been recognized as OCOP".

Accordingly, the plan focuses on promoting the dissemination of the OCOP Program and OCOP products to people and entities. Organize 5-8 training courses to improve the capacity of implementing officials and entities participating in the OCOP Program throughout the province.

Upgrade, standardize and recognize 25-30 more OCOP products from 3 stars, of which at least 1 product is proposed to be evaluated and classified as 5-star OCOP by the central government; 1-2 community tourism products, eco-tourism and tourist attractions.

Evaluate and re-recognize products that have been recognized by the Provincial People's Committee in 2022, support star rating upgrade for recognized products in the period 2022-2024. Strengthen and perfect production organization in the direction of linking production households with cooperatives and enterprises; have at least 9 agricultural cooperatives with products recognized as OCOP products.

Consulting, guiding product development, building product profiles for 100% of entities registering to participate in the OCOP Program. At least 50% of entities producing OCOP products and 100% of localities are inspected and supervised.

100% of OCOP products are introduced and sold on e-commerce platforms. The organization participates in domestic and foreign trade promotion activities (if any).

The implementation of the plan aims to effectively, synchronously and substantively deploy the contents of the OCOP Program from the province to the grassroots level. Developing OCOP products, economic organizations participating in the OCOP Program aim to unleash the potential and advantages of rural areas, develop the rural economy, and contribute to the effective and sustainable implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Development.
