Di Linh District Party Secretary elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee

(LĐ online) - On the afternoon of February 28, the People's Council of Lam Dong province, term X, 2021 - 2026, held the 23rd session to review and decide on a number of important contents under its authority.

The People's Council delegates voted to dismiss the duties of the Provincial People's Council delegates, dismiss the Provincial People's Committee members and elect additional Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 10th term, 2021 - 2026.

The meeting was chaired by Ms. Pham Thi Phuc - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council and 2 Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Council, Mr. K'Mák and Mr. Da Cat Vinh.

According to the Law on Organization of Local Government, one of the important tasks of the Provincial People's Council is to elect the positions of the People's Council and the People's Committee. Since the beginning of the term, the apparatus of the Provincial People's Committee has basically met the requirements of directing, managing and operating plans and tasks of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security according to the Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Council, gradually improving the material and spiritual life of the people; the security, political situation, and social order and safety of the locality are basically stable.

At this session, the Provincial People's Council dismissed the members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 10th term, 2021 - 2026, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuan - Former Director of the Department of Health, due to retirement; Mr. Nguyen Binh Son - Commander of the Provincial Military Command, who was decided to retire by the competent authority; Mr. Tran Hong Quyet - Director of the Department of Home Affairs, Mr. Hoang Van Bang - Director of the Department of Information and Communications, Ms. Le Thi Theu - Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Ms. Pham Thi Hong Hai - Director of the Department of Education and Training, because all four of these people were assigned other jobs by the competent authority.

The meeting also elected Mr. Dinh Van Tuan - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Di Linh district as Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 10th term, with 100% of delegates voting in agreement; at the same time, elected additional members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 10th term, term 2021 - 2026 for Ms. Huynh Thi Phuong Duyen - Director of the Department of Health and Mr. Pham Kim Quang - Director of the Department of Education and Training.

In her closing speech at the meeting, Ms. Pham Thi Phuc - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized: The Provincial People's Council has shown high consensus in electing the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; dismissing the duties of Provincial People's Council delegates; dismissing and electing additional members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 10th term, 2021 - 2026 term in accordance with the correct procedures and regulations of the law.

People's Council delegates voted by secret ballot to elect additional positions of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, term X, and Member of the Provincial People's Committee.

The election and dismissal of the above positions with a very high percentage of votes has demonstrated the high responsibility of the Provincial People's Council delegates to the voters of the province; at the same time, it also demonstrates the solidarity and unanimity of the Provincial People's Council in deciding important issues under its authority.
