Long An temporarily suspends the implementation of district construction planning

The Department of Construction of Long An province has just sent a document to the People's Committees of districts, Kien Tuong town and Tan An city regarding the temporary suspension of the implementation of district-level construction planning. This is to ensure a streamlined apparatus and more effective operation.

Previously, a number of districts had implemented the establishment and adjustment of district construction planning according to the orientation of Long An Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 686/QD-TTg dated June 13, 2023. However, to avoid overlapping and waste when there is a change in administrative units, the Department of Construction proposed to temporarily suspend this planning until there is new guidance from the Central Government.

In the meantime, localities continue to implement urban master planning and communal master planning according to current regulations to ensure planning management in the area.
