Organizing the 3rd National Art Photography Competition and Exhibition "Fatherland on the Shore of Waves" in 2025

The Contest and Exhibition aim to continue to propagate and affirm the correct policies and guidelines of the Party and State, the efforts of localities in implementing Resolution No. 36-NQ/TW dated October 22, 2018 on the Strategy for sustainable development of Vietnam's marine economy to 2030, with a vision to 2045 and implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.

This is a meaningful activity to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress; towards celebrating the country's important events in 2025: 50 years of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), 80 years of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), 80 years of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), 20 years of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025)...

Through the Contest and Exhibition, we aim to innovate the content and form, diversify the methods of propaganda and foreign information about the correct policies and guidelines of the Party and State on sustainable development of the marine economy, protection of sovereignty over seas and islands; contribute to raising people's awareness of the role and strategic position of seas and islands in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; at the same time introduce and promote the potential, natural beauty, and people of Vietnam's seas and islands to a wide audience at home and abroad.

The above activities also convey the message of patriotism and the will to protect the sea and islands of the Vietnamese people; promptly encourage and honor the participation and response of all classes of people, especially artists and photography lovers who have created many new works with valuable content and art, effectively serving the propaganda work as well as the cultural and spiritual life of the people.

The contest is open to all Vietnamese citizens aged 15 and over, living and working in and outside the country, and foreigners working and living in Vietnam. Each author has the right to submit up to 10 works to the contest (both single photos and photo series). The works must be created using realistic methods, and photos that are collaged, added, removed, or distorted from reality are not accepted. Contest photos must not have been displayed or won any prizes at any national photo contests and exhibitions organized or jointly organized by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists. Prize-winning photos or photos displayed at provincial, city, and regional levels are still eligible to participate.
