Accordingly, Bachelor Nguyen Thi Ha (S&D Research and Investment Company Limited) is the project manager in the districts of Duyen Hai, Cau Ngang, Chau Thanh, Tra Cu and Duyen Hai town, Tra Vinh province; implementation period is 24 months; total implementation cost is 1,689,428,000 VND from the science and technology career budget for 2025 - 2027.

General objective: Registering for protection, managing and promoting the geographical indication “Tra Vinh” for Tra Vinh province’s sea crab products to protect prestige, reputation, enhance competitiveness, and avoid product abuse or counterfeiting. Improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of intellectual property for protected products, ensuring food hygiene and safety, and tracing the origin of products. Improving product quality, meeting market needs and tastes, contributing to promoting production and business development, creating more jobs and increasing income for workers, serving the socio-economic development of the locality.

Accordingly, the specific objectives are: to determine the scientific basis and practical basis of natural factors and human factors that determine the reputation, quality and characteristics of Tra Vinh province's sea crab products; to successfully protect the geographical indication "Tra Vinh" for Tra Vinh province's sea crab products; to build a system of documents to manage geographical indications, to build a model to manage the geographical indication "Tra Vinh" for Tra Vinh province's sea crab products; to build a database system to trace the origin of sea crab products with the geographical indication "Tra Vinh"; to build a system of tools to identify brands, promote and develop trade channels to consume sea crab products with the geographical indication "Tra Vinh".

According to the Decision, the Director of the Department of Science and Technology is responsible before the law and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the necessity of implementation, content and expenditure level of the task; sign a contract to implement the task, regularly monitor and inspect the organization and implementation of the task, ensuring the correct objectives, content, scale and progress set out.
