On March 21, Song Cong City coordinated with Chien Cong Industrial and Transport Cooperative to organize the program "Exchange to develop tea culture and the art of tea tasting in Thai Nguyen".

The program attracted nearly 200 delegates, including representatives of leaders of several provincial departments and branches; agencies and units; representatives of cooperatives, enterprises, schools and tea producers, processors and traders in Song Cong City.
At the program, Journalist and tea artisan Hoang Anh Suong shared an overview of the history and culture of Vietnamese tea, especially the value of Thai Nguyen tea. Along with that were tea making techniques, the art of tea tasting, the secret to choosing tea making tools, as well as experiences about Vietnamese and world tea culture. Delegates also focused on discussing solutions to preserve and promote the cultural value of Thai Nguyen tea in order to contribute to building Vietnamese tea into an intangible cultural heritage of the world.

The goal of the training program is to help people understand more about tea culture, thereby loving the traditional tea profession more; contributing to the strong development of the Song Cong tea brand in particular and the Thai Nguyen tea industry in general.
Song Cong City currently has over 400 hectares of tea, with an average fresh tea bud yield of over 128 quintals/hectare, and an output of nearly 3,000 tons. The entire city has 100 hectares of tea certified to VietGAP standards; there are 3 enterprises and 2 cooperatives producing and processing tea; 14 tea products are ranked OCOP from 3-4 stars.
