Practically celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025), welcoming the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, on the morning of February 2 (the 5th day of Tet), the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union coordinated with the Provincial Party Committee - People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province to organize the "Forever grateful to Uncle Ho" tree planting festival of the Year of the Snake 2025 and launched an emulation campaign to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
Attending the program were Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, along with representatives of leaders of ministries, central agencies, sectors, unions, the Central Youth Union Secretariat and local leaders.
At the launching ceremony, Mr. Bui Quang Huy, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, performed the ritual of launching emulation to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, continuing the tradition of launching emulation to welcome the Congress. The torch was carried by a delegation of 14 youth union members and youth from the Memorial Area of revolutionary predecessors to the torch stand.
At the ceremony, leaders of the Party, State and the Central Secretariat of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union presented gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers; 40 gifts to families with meritorious services; 30 scholarships to students with difficult circumstances who have excelled in their studies; 10 gifts to village elders and village chiefs in Son Duong district, Tuyen Quang province with a total value of 100 million VND.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, on behalf of the leaders of the Party, State and Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman Do Van Chien cordially sent to the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Tuyen Quang province, distinguished guests and children his warmest feelings, warm greetings and best wishes for the New Year.
Emphasizing that 2025 is the year of many important events of historical significance for the country, the year of holding Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, Chairman Do Van Chien commended and highly appreciated the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union for proactively and promptly organizing and launching emulation towards this important event and believed that the emulation movement will achieve good results.
Referring to the advice of beloved President Ho Chi Minh: "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation and those who emulate are the most patriotic", President Do Van Chien affirmed that emulation movements will arouse the strength of solidarity and creativity of all classes of people, especially the young generation who are pioneers in innovation and creativity, contributing to the implementation of important goals and tasks of the country, localities and units. In order for the emulation campaign to achieve practical results, strongly spreading the pioneering spirit and enthusiasm of the youth, the Central Youth Union needs to pay attention to promoting propaganda work, raising awareness and responsibility among Youth Union chapters and members, so that the emulation campaign truly becomes a widespread political activity in the entire Youth Union, with the active participation of a large number of Youth Union members and children nationwide and creating positive social effects.
“The competition results must be quantified by specific projects and tasks, with clear products and practical significance. These could be bridges, roads, libraries, classrooms, or scientific research topics, creative start-up projects, modern and effective production models led by young people,” Chairman Do Van Chien suggested.
According to Chairman Do Van Chien, the emulation movement must be associated with strengthening solidarity and gathering union members and young people. Union chapters at all levels need to be more creative and flexible in their methods of operation, so that every young person feels that the Union is a common home, a place for them to share, contribute and grow. Only when we unite all young people can we promote collective strength, bring emulation movements into depth and achieve the highest efficiency. The emulation movement also needs to aim at fostering the trust and attachment of young people to the Party, promoting responsibility to themselves, their families and society.
Appreciating Tuyen Quang province for proactively implementing the emulation contents in 2025 with very high political determination, Chairman Do Van Chien believes that, with the tradition of the revolutionary homeland and the results achieved in 2024, overcoming all difficulties, striving, Tuyen Quang province will excellently complete the goals set for 2025, contributing to completing the goals determined by the 17th Provincial Party Congress, building Tuyen Quang province into a fairly developed province in the region, completing the key goals of the province, especially ensuring the construction progress of Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway and completing the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for families still in difficulty by September 2025; synchronously deploying solutions to promote the traditional strength of great solidarity of the whole province, building Tuyen Quang province to develop richly, civilized, people have a prosperous and happy life.
Chairman Do Van Chien suggested that local Party committees and authorities pay attention to creating favorable conditions for the Youth Union to effectively carry out its tasks. "The Youth Union is very enthusiastic and eager to take on all tasks, but they cannot act alone and need the attention, leadership and guidance of the Party; the facilitation of the government and the support of the entire political system and society," Chairman Do Van Chien emphasized.
Affirming that tree planting is not only a practical action to improve the environment, but also contributes to the country's sustainable development goals and realizes the Vietnamese Government's commitments at international forums, including the goal of reducing net emissions to zero by 2050, Chairman Do Van Chien called on all levels, sectors, localities, all compatriots and comrades to enthusiastically participate in tree planting and forest planting; each tree planted must be good; at the same time, it is necessary to raise awareness of forest protection, effectively preventing forest encroachment. So that forests can truly be the armor protecting our peaceful life.
Chairman Do Van Chien also requested all levels of the Youth Union and youth union members nationwide to promote their pioneering spirit, creativity and responsibility to realize the emulation contents that have been launched; at the same time, he deeply believes that the emulation movement to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress and the Tree Planting Festival "Forever grateful to Uncle Ho" in the Spring of At Ty will achieve good results.
Chairman Do Van Chien respectfully requested the Central Youth Union Secretariat to supplement, deepen and specify the emulation content to effectively implement Resolution 57 of the Politburo on science and technology development and national digital transformation. Youth union members must be the vanguard force advancing into the science and technology and digital transformation front, contributing their talents and youth strength to the country entering the era of national development; realizing the aspiration to build our country to develop strongly, prosperously and happily.
After the launching ceremony, Chairman Do Van Chien, delegates, youth union members and local people participated in planting trees at the Memorial Site of Revolutionary Ancestors, Tan Trao Special National Relic Site, Son Duong District, Tuyen Quang Province.
On the same morning, Chairman Do Van Chien and the delegation offered incense and flowers to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at Na Nua Pavilion, Tan Trao Communal House, and the Memorial Area for Revolutionary Predecessors in the Tan Trao Special National Relic Site on the occasion of the launching ceremony of the Tree Planting Festival "Forever Grateful to Uncle Ho" Spring At Ty 2025 and the emulation to welcome Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
