On the morning of August 11, the working delegation of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the implementation of Project 07-DA/TU, dated December 11, 2020 of the Provincial Party Committee and Plan 09/KH-UBND dated March 8, 2021 of the Provincial People's Committee on "Protecting, caring for, improving people's health and population work in Lao Cai province in the new situation, period 2020 - 2025" in Muong Khuong district.

The report on the implementation results of Project 07 and Plan 09 clearly stated that up to now, the health system in Muong Khuong district continues to maintain stable operations. Facilities have been invested, medical staff have been trained, coached, updated with knowledge, and improved their spirit and attitude in serving the people. The district currently has 21 medical facilities, including 2 district-level units and 19 grassroots-level units with 274 medical staff and civil servants. The number of hospital beds has increased from 210 beds in 2021 to 250 beds in 2023. The work of preventing and controlling the Covid-19 epidemic has been carried out safely and effectively; The quality of medical examination and treatment has been improved. From the beginning of the term to the first 6 months of 2023, medical examination and treatment have been performed for 457,381 people, with a bed occupancy rate of 100%. According to the assessment of the District People's Committee, out of a total of 20 targets, 7 targets were completed and exceeded the project target, equal to 36.84%; 11 targets reached 70%, equal to 57.9% of the project target; 1 target reached over 50%, equal to 5.26%.
Through the inspection, the delegation acknowledged and highly appreciated the results that Muong Khuong district has achieved in the past time. At the same time, it pointed out the limitations and suggested some solutions in implementing the objectives of the Project, especially the objectives and tasks that are difficult to implement and have low achievements. Thereby, aiming to protect, care for and improve the health of the people in the future.
